This reveals to me some of the dangers in relying on news reports for gauges of mass opinion; as we found in our National Asian American Survey, most Indian Americans are voting for Obama. It may also be a challenge to use these as a gauge of elite opinion since I have heard from journalists that the Democratic convention was teeming with Indian Americans this year.
